OK, so I'd forgotten I even made a blog. I had to be reminded by Kelli. It's funny--I read hers all the time, and it never dawned on me that I should update mine. Oh well. Fast forward two months.
We've got a couple of big birthdays coming up this week. Brett will be nine, and Luke will be five. We are having a small combo party at home on Friday evening with pizza and cake. Nothing too crazy. Brett's going to play hookie on Thursday and go to the college basketball tournament with Brian. And we're planning a week-long vacation in April to Orlando. So we didn't think it was necessary to have a big blow-out of a party too. Besides, the kids don't know it but they are getting a PS2. This should sufficiently sequester them to Brett's room for a good 3 months.
Jeffy has decided to have his birthday too. It's not fair that everyone else gets t
o have one. So he said, "Mom, can I be 4?" Being the stern, practical, truth telling mother that I am, I responded, "Sure buddy!" Ah well. You can't win 'em all.
